"I am from a small town in Ontario, Canada. I live with schizo-affective disorder, a condition related to both schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. By writing songs about past experience and day-to-day life, I try to give you a taste of what it is like to live with a severe mental illness. All told from the perspective of someone who is undergoing the ups and downs, and sheer horrors that occur. All coming from Me.
I struggled for years to find my voice and what to say, and I have found it in mental health and the Blues. I have been influenced by many great artists, and I try to keep my blues pure. No gimmicks, no bull*censored*, no fronting, no unnecessary journalism. I make music and that’s it, I am Ryan Patrick.
I am releasing my this album in torrent form as a type of investment. I have yet to form a fan base, and therefore have no real excuse to try to sell my music. My hope is that you will like the album, share it with your friends and seed it to other downloaders. My hope is that all this will lay the groundwork for a real career in music, even if it is just living out of a travel trailer and truck for the next decade, it’s something. Thank you. SEED!"
